All items remain the property of Aunt Tilly’s at all times.

Standard hire period is 1-3 days. Longer periods can be arranged for an additional charge.

Please be aware that china trio sets do NOT necessarily matching. We think this adds to the eclectic beauty of them.

We only provide mis-match sets.

All items hired from the Aunt Tilly’s remain the responsibility of the hirer, including if left at other premises, until return or collection. This includes loss or breakages.

Goods for collection must be repacked safely in their original packaging.

At no time does Aunt Tilly’s accept liability in the event of any injury or damage caused by our hired items, however they are caused. They are hired entirely at your own risk. We therefore recommend that you take out your own event insurance.

By prior arrangement, we will set out the hired items and/or collect in and repack the hired items.  Prices for this service are available on request. Set-up and event styling costs will depend on the size of the party/amount of crockery hired. Please contact us to discuss, we can always work something out within your budget!

Aunt Tilly’s will do the washing up for free but please scrape plates, empty sugar bowls and teapots before re-packing or a cleaning surcharge may apply. Under any circumstances please don’t put our items in a microwave, dishwasher or oven. Being so old they are very delicate and the beautiful prints and gilt on the edges are easily damaged

Due to the nature of vintage items there may be signs of wear, such as to gilt, but there will be no chips or cracks to our china.

The minimum hire charge is £20.

Prices quoted at time of booking and upon receipt of the deposit will be honoured for the date of the event.

A deposit to secure the hire is charged at 50% of fee, payable on booking. The balance is due 14 days prior to event. We accept cash, cheque or direct bank transfer. For orders made less than 14 days prior to an event full hire fee is required.

Orders reduced 30 days or less to hire date will be charged at 50% of original hire charge plus 50% of the new hire charge will be payable 14 days prior to hire date.

For cancellations Aunt Tilly`s must be notified in writing. If you need to cancel a booking the following conditions apply:

-Less than 14 days of date 100% charges

-Between 14-30 days of date 50% charge

-30 days of date 25% charge

A damage deposit of £100.00 is required by separate cheque, on delivery of the items, and will be returned when all items have been returned and checked. In the event of items of china being broken or damaged these must be returned to Aunt Tilly’s wrapped in paper, glass items should be carefully disposed of.

Each item will be charged as follows

  • tea cup, saucer or tea plate £2,
  • All other items will be charged at 4 times their hire charge.
  • Except 1, 2 or 3 tier china cake stands, including cake dome. They will be charged at £15, £20 and £25 respectively.

Any orders over £100 will be delivered and collected free of charge within 35 miles of Cheadle Hulme. We are happy to deliver elsewhere. Also for orders less than £100 , we will charge 50p per mile  In addition, you must reimburse any parking charges and congestion charge that we incur when delivering or collecting your order.

On accepting delivery you are required to check and confirm the condition of all the items and sign a receipt of delivery and condition.

A contact phone number is needed so that we can get in touch in case there is a problem with your order. When we receive your order, we will provide you with a confirmation email.

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.
